The English countryside is dying. The population of 316 species has significantly declined since 1970; 68% of plant species have decreased in distribution, and close to 1 in 6 species are threatened by extinction. ( State of Nature Partnership, 2023) Knowledge of the climate crisis has grown exponentially in recent years, but the focus is often on great but distant issues like the Arctic, rainforests, and barrier reefs. As a nation, we are woefully ignorant of climate change's effects right here at home.
Land Without Limits is a campaign to fight for the right to roam in England. By giving people more opportunities to connect with nature, the campaign aims to raise awareness about climate change and the importance of preserving our natural environments.
